Hello!

My name is Magali, I’m a London based filmmaker. I have worked in the VFX and Animation industry since 2008, on various projects (film, TV and commercials) specializing in Visualization, Layout and Animation.

I also started my writer-director career in 2017 with the multi-awarded short film STRANGE BEASTS.

This first short film got me representation and it encouraged my to write and direct my second short film THIS TIME AWAY, starring Timothy Spall (2019). It won many awards on the festival circuit with 50+ festival selections and was longlisted for both the Bafta and Oscar in 2020.

Since then, I have been balancing my work as a Visualization Supervisor/Senior Artist and my narrative work. In other words, when I’m not doing VFX, I’m writing and the other way around!

I just love storytelling and the filmmaking process, for the creative brainstorming, the craft, the problem solving, the many challengs and most of all, the human experience.
